Led by the example of his late mother, Donna, Don gives back to the local community in many ways through both his professional and personal life. He truly enjoys helping non-profits with fundraising efforts through telethons and special events. For many years, Don was an active board member with the Abraham House, a comfort care home based in Utica. He’s also co-hosted fundraising events for Hospice & Palliative Care and the Stevens-Swan Humane society alongside his husband, Adam.

In his free time, Don likes to spend time with his family and friends. Though, he admits “unplugging” is not easy for journalists in today’s world, he does enjoy checking out the news product wherever he travels. As an advocate of everything local, Don loves taking in the great sights and adventures Georgia has to offer.  He also loves having a weekend away in the mountains or taking an extended vacation in the Northeast.
